COMPANY OVERVIEW
Greater State Sports Authority, Inc. (GSSA), “Leading our Future Leaders through Education and Sports” is focused on developing talent, talent that might otherwise be overlooked and lost as an asset to our communities and workforce. With Sports as its basis, GSSA is first a "Conscious Business" dealing directly with today's issues and problems within our communities. The company within its mission is dedicated in helping the poor, the inner city kids, our high school dropouts and all our talented ones wherever they may be. GSSA will take them (our students) and educate them, develop them, and employ them--to build the internal and external of the student, their families and the communities they come from.
GSSA will utilize Semi-Pro sports, our High School, along with a 2-year education, together as the avenue to our mission.
GSSA is a company that operates in three parts

Taking high school graduates/dropouts (talented individuals) and placing them in our two year year-round Semi-Pro Football Program, beginning with:

Personal Physical Training, and then

Nutritional Education, and then
-
Placing them in one of six GSSA's Semi-Pro football league teams.

Taking all students and educate them in "life skills" education. Our High School Program and our 2 year "educational program" will:

Start from a lower level knowledge base and bring their knowledge to the college standards of understanding.

GSSA's educational program will utilize the current technology available to assist in the educational experience for their future such as virtual rooms and virtual glasses.

Upon graduation:

Qualifying football students will go to the NFL tryouts, pitched to the CFL, or any other pro level team(s), or
-
transfer to a 4 year university to play football or be a student, or
-
through our 2 year "on the job training program" be offered a job at GSSA to further the graduating student in their personal careers while organically growing GSSA.

THE WHY
As published by the NCAA, “many boys and girls grow up dreaming of playing sports in college and beyond. But of the nearly 8 million students currently participating in high school athletics in the United States, only 480,000 of them will compete at NCAA schools. And of that group, only a fraction will realize their goal of becoming a professional or Olympic athlete…”
In the case of football, the 2015-2016 school year had over 1 million participants in high school football but only 6.8%, roughly 74,000, went on to the NCAA.
Reasons for this low transition may include:

Unable to meet academic requirements

Skill level was not developed enough to exceed the competition

Unable to obtain a loan if no scholarship offered

There are limited spots available
Football in particular is the one sport where the vast majority, 75%, only played in high school, no club play, before going on to the NCAA. So how do you build a bridge for talented youth who want to continue to play and get an education?
Enter GSSA. We are on the brink of executing on a fully laid out plan, but need the next step, the funds, to get there. With estimated projected gross profit of $12M the first full year after a build, staff and recruitment execution, and growth thereafter every year, we are preparing to become to the only combination of education and semi-professional sports training of its kind. And football is only the beginning, as the opportunity expands. Plus with career building leadership and focused skills training, the sports-minded kids and young adults will gain lifelong skills to benefit from during and after their sports career.
We’re seeking to raise $5M through this crowdfunding effort, which will be combined with our bank’s commitment to provide a line a credit for the remainder, to achieve the expected $14M initial expenses.
